La météo n'était pas au rendez-vous sur la ligne Paris-Calais-Duxford vendredi après midi	Le Mousquetaire rebroussant chemin vers Dieppe à la deuxième tentative (beuh la vilaine entrée maritime)	Mais certains sont passés ! Le D119 de Philippe Girault sera le premier colibri à Duxford, à côté du G-FLEA de Julian Berry	alors que le Mousquetaire dormira dans les hangars de Dieppe
The weather was somewhat unpleasant on the way (more than we expected from the forecasts)	Some of us got stuck and had to go back (the Mousquetaire flying back to Dieppe as a second diversion)	and some of us made it (at 500ft over Abbeville and the sea though). Alongside Julian Berry's G FLEA, the first colibri Philippe Girault and his Jodel D119	The Mousquetaire will sleep snugly in Dieppe's hangar.

Partout en France, les colibris s'activent à préparer leurs avions pour la grande traversée	En région parisienne il va falloir attendre que ça se lève	A moins de partir en IFR pour trouver la côte superbement dégagée	Calais sous le soleil (avec un zoom !)
All over France, the colibris check the fuel, tire pressure, gps batteries prior to The Great Crossing	But around Paris, some will have to wait from 9 to 15 until the weather clears up	Some filed IFR and found Calais under the sun	Calais (with a zoom !)
Aude profite du confort du Piper Arrow turbo d'Alain	C'est bien l'IFR de beau temps !	Anne-Céline et Pascal cherchent le VOR de Douvres sans le VOR, c'est plus rigolo

Samedi - Pendant ce temps, à Duxford / Saturday - Meanwhile, back in Duxford
 

Vent arrière 24 à Duxford - c'est exceptionnellement calme !	Dans la tour, les agents spéciaux veillent	A l'étage supérieur, les agents AFIS et Howard Gold, compilant les Customs Forms et autres plans de vol des colibris	A l'étage en dessous, enregistrement sans faute des participants
Duxford downwind runway 24 - exceptionally not a soul around	In the tower, the Faithful FISOs keep an eye open on the traffic	Second floor, Howard Gold, compiling colibris flight plans and customs forms	First floor, all participants register along a flawless organisation

Un bus spécial pour le rascol	Organisé par Rob et Sandra Pritchard, ici avec les Gi-rar-do-tss	Pendant deux jours avec bonne humeur et souplesse Rob va assurer le convoyage des colibris de Duxford à l'hôtel et retour	Les professionnels de l'air : Timothy Nathan, Mike Turner, Steve Le-Vien
As it says : There was a special shuttle for the Rascol !	Rob and Sandra welcome the Girardots (Isabelle and children)	During 2 days Rob will very nicely ferry colibris back and forth between the fields and various improbable guest houses in the vicinity	A talk amongst professionals : Timothy Nathan, Mike Turner, Steve Le-Vien

 

Le parking se remplit progressivement	Du Bolkow, au Pitts violet d'Al Coutts, en passant par	le TBM 700 de Ray Anderson venu de Cambridge (7NM)	Le Mousquetaire, enfin arrivé et solidement arrimé
The parking  fills up	Very smart Bolkow 207, missing from the picture is Al Coutts' purple Pitts	Ray Anderson flew 7 miles in his superb TBM700 from Cambridge	The Jodel Mousquetaire finally home and tied down.

 
 

Chaque avion de colibri a son comité d'accueil	Le D253 d'Olivier Le Carbonnier fera l'aller retour Rouen dans la journée (avec ou sans la douane ?)	Le Robin 3000 de David O Hare et Jean Louis Benamour, recordman de distance et de panne électrique totale, à côté du Hurricane. Fatalité ? Le Hurricane ne démarrera pas !	Derniers arrivants, après le couvre-feu de Duxford, les Enghien Moisselles	Ici le Super Emeraude
Each colibri landing has its "welcome to Duxford" committee	The Robin D253 from Rouen (now Olivier WHERE IS your customs form ??)	Next to the Hurricane which won't start, the Robin 3000 that covered the longest distance - 535NM - to fly over and had a total electrical failure on the way.	Some late comers diverted by the weather. Thanks to Bill and the firemen, Duxford stayed open late !	The Super Emeraude from Enghien Moisselles.
