| But
the front was waiting for us, on the Solent. The ceiling is going down,
going down, the ceiling is going down, my fair lady ! And we are going
along. |
| The
cliffs of the Isle of Wight |
| There
will be no VMC crossing on this side of the Channel, we are going in for
a weather diversion into Bournemouth |
| Here
it looks great but it's going towards the Atlantic ! |
| The
front forgot some low hanging clouds on the coast. It's beautiful, except
that pilots are crying out for help on the frequency |
| not
having chosen to make a u-turn in time. We are transferred to the tower
and will not listen to those scary exchanges on the approach frequency |
| ILS
in Bournemouth. Above the airfield it's loud and clear. |
| Now
we are still Frenchies, with no high visibility jackets, having to get
a serious weather briefing, refill a flight plan, not pay the tax because
we are weather diverting (had to pull the Pooley's out for that )... |
and
guess what ? Going to the pilot briefing room we run into our 'friends'
from Special Branch again, and they don't look happy at all to see us again.
Taking off
from Bournemouth, it looks like a 747 is stuck on the other runway. That's
why it is closed ! |
