| It
will be an easy flight down to Compton Abbas |
| Carmathen
Bay abeam Swansea, very nice ! |
| Back
to civilisation between Bristol and Cardiff |
| In
Compton Abbas the Special Branch (2 inbound from Bournemouth) is waiting
suspiciously for us. Apparently we have some strange flying habits. It
does not prevent the Gipsy from giving us the Moth show. |
| It's
a beautiful sunday and the visitors are aplenty. I like those parking instructions
: "Park east of the Dove !" |
| Compton
is a paradise for Yaks especially since they are not grounded like all
of them are in France |
| The
Gipsy had some hiccups before starting but now is ready for another flight. |
| Even
some of the local Yaks go around after landing on the bumps with extra
speed, that smoothes my ego after my own very bumpy landing |
| Here
is the famous De Haviland Dove getting ready for the mighty Dove show |
| Taking
off |
| Break
(you will notice how we dry our micro fiber rags after cleaning up Charlie
Mike) |
| Can't
stop the Dove |
| Emmanuel
at full speed |
| The
Dove is back with a low pass, backtracking the active runway at full speed |
| Time
to leave Compton Abbas and head back to Toussus via the Isle of Wight. |
